Onion Seed Harvesters

A Chertsey Employer (approx 20 kms north of Ashburton) is looking for people to harvest onion seeds from 22 December 2025 to approximately 8 January 2026 (statutory holidays off). Start date may vary depending upon crop readiness. No experience required - training is provided. -Must be physical fit and be able to work outdoors. -Have a great attitude and want to work and be reliable as you are part of a Team. -Health and safety is extremely important to our employer and you will need to adhere to the policies in the work place. -Water, tea and coffee are provided. -The employer supports a smoke-free environment, vaping only allowed during designated breaks. -Have own transport to and from the worksite. -Applicants must be New Zealand residents or hold a valid NZ work visa. -Must pass a pre-employment drug test. -Must pass a MOJ check. -This work is total weather dependent, hours can vary from 29 to 40 per week. This work may lead to other work when other seasonal work opportunities come along.

- 6 to 7 days a week, depending upon the weather. Seed heads must be dry before picking. 7.30am - 4.00pm approx (29 hours per week)
