About this job

We are looking for a Grounds Maintenance Operator to join our team and who will bring their expertise and skills to a motivated team based in our Mt Wellington branch. You will be responsible for various duties to maintain the exterior grounds and surrounding properties within the Auckland region. You will be responsible for following a predetermined schedule ensuring the grounds a clean, well maintained and meets the client’s expectations. This role will be working on a rotational basis across 7 days per week.

Responsibilities: Grounds Maintenance - duties will be included line marking of school grounds, operating various types of power equipment, including ride on lawn mowers, trimmers, hedge trimmers, leaf blowers, brush cutters and other landscape equipment. Your duties will change depending on the days scheduled but the focus will be maintaining the grounds.

Job Requirements

About You: • You will need to have some level of experience in these fields. • Ability to operate various machinery and have the mechanical knowledge to follow out minor repairs. • Knowledge of horticultural principles and best practices would be of advantage • Be fit and healthy – as lifting is required and this is a manual job and hard work. • You will need to have excellent verbal and written English language skills. • Have a good understand of Health n Safety practices. • A great team player who is reliable and self-sufficient. • Ability to prioritise workload to achieve client satisfaction. • Ability to multitask and be flexiable. • Great organizational and time management skills. • Being able to make effective decisions – particularly on site. • Ability to adhere to all company policies and procedures. • Being able to work at elevated heights • Team player but also able to work independently To apply for this role you must be able to pass a MOJ check and pre-employment drug and alcohol test. You will also need a full driver’s license and be able to drive a class 1 vehicle. Being able to tow a trailer will be an advantage.

Days of work
This role will be working on a rotational basis across 7 days per week. (15 hours per week)
Pay Details
TBD - depending on experience 23.80 – 25.00
