About the Role We are seeking an experienced and self-driven Chef to take ownership of daily kitchen operations in our high-volume cafe. This role requires strong culinary skills, confidence in leading food production, and the ability to maintain consistent quality across both menu and cabinet offerings. Key Responsibilities • Lead daily food preparation, cooking, and presentation of European-style dishes • Develop, refine, and prepare cabinet food items to a high standard • Ensure all meals meet quality, portion, and presentation expectations • Manage kitchen prep levels and workflow to ensure smooth service delivery • Maintain kitchen cleanliness, hygiene, and food safety compliance at all times • Oversee stock control, including ordering, rotation, and minimising waste • Troubleshoot kitchen challenges and manage time efficiently during peak periods • Collaborate with front-of-house and management to ensure an excellent customer experience • Train or guide junior kitchen staff when required Interview Information: Interviews will be conducted on a Saturday or Sunday.

Min of 2 years experience in a Cafe or Commercial kitchen Own transport and Full Driver licence (due to early start times) No Criminal convictions Drug free, random alcohol tests Availability to work across the full roster schedule as stated above Strong communication and teamwork skills Reliable and punctual, with a strong work ethic ***Please note ONLY the shortlisted candidates will be contacted after applying
