Fisheries Deckhand - Mangonui

Sailing from Totara North , full time positions have become available for the position of Fisheries Deckhand on a medium sized surface long line vessel for 7 days trip duration - with 7 days shore leave . Normal duties include handling and unloading of the catch , cleaning duties for a long line vessel . If you have the NZ Deckhand qualification or equivalent that would be an advantage, or six months experience on a fishing vessel as a deckhand . The work place and living areas are confined situations . The company operates on a strictly no violence , no abusive or aggressive behaviour basis . Remuneration will be based on experience and qualifications . Note: 40 hours onboard weeks only.
Job Requirements
1- Must be physically strong and fit, as there is some heavy lifting involved. 2- Experience of at LEAST six months as a Long Line Deckhand is essential and details of that listed on your CV. 3- You must be Drug-free and agree to both our random drug testing program and a limited criminal Police clearance process.
