Truck Driver's Offsider

A moving company at East Tamaki is currently looking for Offsiders who can : • Safely load and unload furniture into trucks and containers, ensuring all items are properly secured. • Fasten and cover loads with tarpaulins or other protective materials as required. • Guide truck drivers in and out of loading bays and through confined or challenging spaces. • Record, check, and verify cargo details during loading, transit, and unloading. • Operate moving equipment to transfer the furniture and coordinate tasks using communication systems. • Review and confirm delivery dockets to ensure orders are correctly prepared for loading. • Handle furniture with care to prevent damage during transport and delivery. • Maintain the cleanliness of vehicles and ensure tie-downs, straps, and equipment are stored properly and used. • Conduct checks to confirm all items are accounted for and none are lost or damaged. • Perform other relevant duties as required to support efficient transport and delivery operations.

To be successful for this role, candidate must be: • Able to handle and move heavy items safely • Works well within a team environment • Reliable, cooperative, and available for weekend work when required • Motivated and attentive to detail • Able to follow directions and complete assigned tasks efficiently • Must be willing to travel within North Island as required by the nature of the job. Accommodation and food allowance will be provided. • Should be available for evening shifts and night shifts if required.
