Fisheries Deckhand

Full-time deckhand roles are currently available on local commercial fishing boats for persons to join strong teams of guys. In these roles, you will basically live at sea with communal sleeping quarters on the boats. Boats are longline vessels and duties with include: hooking, setting and retrieval of the fishing lines - de hooking of the caught fish . Sorting and icing of the catch and storage of the catch . Cleaning duties of the fishing deck and fishing equipment . Cleaning of the living areas . Unloading of the catch at the wharf. A full driver licence is required and candidates MUST have the ability to work well as team members. Applications are invited to persons with at least six months experience who will pass a drug test and an MOJ check. Employment start date 30th December 2025.
