Food Trade Assistant

We are looking for someone who can work confidently in a fast-paced kitchen environment. Key duties include:

Main Responsibilities - Prepare, cook, and present meals according to standard recipes, food photos, and portion guidelines. - Ensure all dishes meet quality, consistency, and cost standards. -Prepare or supervise the preparation of stocks and sauces, maintaining flavour and consistency. - Make hot dishes, sauces, and warm or cold salads within required timeframes. - Operate kitchen equipment such as grills, microwaves, and deep-fat fryers. - Keep all food products stored securely and in the correct conditions. - Maintain a clean, hygienic, and safe kitchen environment, following all Health & Safety regulations. - Assist with storing food deliveries promptly and correctly. - Monitor stock levels and help with ordering supplies. - Manage waste by keeping trash cans tidy and removing full bins and boxes. - Attend training sessions and keep your skills and knowledge up to date.

Skills & Attributes - Able to work under pressure in a busy kitchen. - Good people skills and able to work well in a team. - Physically fit and able to lift up to 30 kg. - Reliable, with positive work references.

Availability - Able to work rostered shifts between 11:00 a.m. and 4:00 a.m. - Must be available to work weekends. - Minimum 32 hours per week.

Other Requirements - Completed high school. - Able to pass drug and criminal history checks - Relevant kitchen experience is preferred but not essential.
