Fast Food Cook - Chinese Cuisine

A Kaiapoi based Chinese Restaurant seeks a full time cook with duties as below -

• Prepare ingredients for cooking, including cutting meat, fish, seasoning and other cooking preparation as required • Cook a range of Chinese dishes and fish and chips products according to the menu • Receive orders from customers and operate the tills • Wrap and serve orders to customers • Clean all work platforms, cooking utensils and carry out daily and weekly cleaning of the shop as routine required • Order ingredients and receive order delivery and check delivery quality • Preserve ingredients and food materials and check freezers and fridges on daily basis to make sure ingredients are good to use and minimise waste. • Complete daily cleaning after each shift and weekly cleaning • Keep work station tidy all the time • Help other staff as required • Any other reasonable duties required by the business owner

• One year experience working in commercial catering services or fast food restaurants or a cookery qualification at any level • Good time management and be punctual at all shifts • High level personal hygiene and good knowledge of food safety • Be able to work under pressure • Multitasking skills • Be able to work in a team and be flexible to work during weekend and public holidays

A speaker of Chinese language is an advantage.
