We’re looking for energetic and motivated leaders to join our team across three Northland locations. With multiple vacancies available at Raumanga, Whangarei, and Te Kamo, this is a great opportunity to step into a leadership role and help shape the customer experience in your preferred store. As a Restaurant Department Leader, you’ll take ownership of one of our three key areas: Customer Experience, People Performance, or Product Quality. You will lead by example, driving the actions and results needed to maintain outstanding standards across the restaurant.
Key Responsibilities • Lead a department: Take ownership of one of the three core departments — Customer Experience, People Performance, or Product Quality. • Manage daily operations: Deliver exceptional Quality, Service, Cleanliness (QSC), and profitability on every shift. • Supervise staff: Ensure team members follow all operational procedures and adhere to safety and security standards. • Achieve goals: Motivate and support your team to meet department objectives and deliver consistent results. • Maintain food safety: Take responsibility for upholding the highest food safety standards across the restaurant. • Engage customers: Actively seek customer feedback to support an exceptional experience and continuous improvement. • Work as a team: Collaborate with colleagues to deliver fast, friendly, high-quality service every day.

Job Requirements
• Minimum of one year in a Department Manager or related leadership role is preferred. • Experience in hospitality, fast food, or retail environments is highly valued. • Proven ability to lead, coach, or support a team (formal leadership experience preferred but not essential for the right candidate). • Completion of management training programmes — including the People Performance Course (PPC), Customer Experience Course (CEC), or Product Quality Course (PQC) — is an advantage. • A solid understanding of food safety, or a willingness to complete training. • Strong communication skills and confidence interacting with customers and staff. • Ability to work under pressure, problem-solve, and make sound decisions during busy periods. • Excellent customer service skills with the capability to motivate a team to achieve results. • Reliability and flexibility to work a rotating roster, including evenings and weekends. • A positive attitude, commitment to high standards, and passion for delivering great customer experiences. • Computer literacy for reporting, training, and shift management tasks. • Criminal convictions; considered case-by-case, applicants must consent to an MOJ check if shortlisted and be prepared to disclose any previous convictions. • Ability to adapt and perform well in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. • Must have own reliable transport
