A well-established local hotel in New Plymouth is seeking enthusiastic, reliable, and hospitality-focused individuals to join their team. The hotel and hotel restaurant is filling several key positions and is looking for candidates who enjoy working with people, have a positive attitude, and thrive in a team environment.
Current Vacancies
1. Guest Service Attendants – 20 hours per week (with potential for more) Key Duties: • FOH, rostered over breakfast, lunch and dinner service • Housekeeping and room servicing • Assisting in the kitchen as required • Supporting restaurant operations
2. Housekeepers 15-20 hours • focusing on maintaining exceptional cleanliness, hygiene, and order in guest rooms and public areas • cleaning, bed-making, restocking amenities, managing linens, removing rubbish • reporting maintenance issues, ensuring a safe, comfortable, and welcoming environment that reflects positively on the hotel's brand and reputation.
3. Restaurant Supervisor – 20 hours per week (with potential for more) Key Duties: • Supervising and supporting restaurant staff • Maintaining service standards and ensuring customer satisfaction • Responding to feedback and assisting with daily operations Requirements: • Hospitality experience essential • Mature and confident approach • A Duty Manager Licence is an advantage
4. Casual Receptionist Key Duties: • Answering phones and managing bookings • Providing friendly and efficient customer service • Using hotel booking systems (experience required) • Multitasking in a fast-paced environment Requirements: • Previous hotel reception experience • Strong understanding of hospitality • Friendly and professional manner • Flexible availability, including weekends
Additional Requirements for All Roles: • Ability to pass a Ministry of Justice background check • Reliable transport to travel to and from work • Availability to work weekends and flexibility to cover varying shifts
