Softscaping/Gardening Team Leader

A Taupo landscaping contractor is looking for an organised, hands-on Team Leader to manage a small team and coordinate planting and maintenance schedules for new and established gardens, and for native plant revegetation projects. Ideally they would like someone experienced in softscaping, revegetation and knapsack weed spraying, with the experience (or ability) to: • lead and manage a small team • be highly client focussed and able to converse comfortably with clients • plan and oversee planting and maintenance work • be Growsafe certified (or willing to achieve certification) • manage health and safety requirements • physically fit and able to carry out physical work required of the role. • Good previous experience working in gardening and planting projects • Able to lead and manage a small team • Good organisational and administrative/record keeping skills • Weed spraying experience • Able to use company devices such as work tablets, laptops etc. • A good level of physical fitness and reliability • Ability and willingness to work outdoors in all weathers • A strong focus on health and safety • A positive attitude and willingness to work as part of a team A FULL class 1 driver's licence is also necessary ( or be eligible to sit/pass Full test asap) and applicants must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test and random drug testing.
