Retail Salesperson - selling indoor plants in a Kiosk at a local shopping mall, this role requires great customer service skills and is sales focused, fast paced and dynamic, and it includes working on weekends and late nights. If you are: motivated with a can-do attitude, a reasonable level of fitness is required as this role involves heavy lifting at times, but nothing "back breaking"! Driver's License is preferred. This is a full-time, permanent job, working hours and availability: 8-hour shift/s Mondays to Sundays and includes working late during mall late nights. Must be available for weekend work. Wage: $24.00 – $30.00 per hour negotiable on experience. This job would suit someone living locally to New Lynn/Avondale/Mt Albert/Pt Chevalier/Mt Roskill

Job Requirements

MUST HAVES: • Relevant work experience is preferred but not mandatory as we provide full training • Available to work on weekends • Clean Full Driver’s License • Strong attention to detail and sales-focused approach • Ability to stand for extended periods • A motivated and customer-focused approach is necessary for success • The candidate may also be required to travel within the region for the performance of duties and the cost of travel and fuel will be borne by the employer • Determining customer requirements and advising on which plant(s) they can purchase • Implement best practices to increase sales and profitability • Preparing sales invoices and accepting payment for goods and services by a variety of payment methods • Maintain allotment, tagging and ensure the products are placed in the right place with appropriate labels • Performing regular price checks to find any differentiations and fix it accordingly • Keeping up-to-date on everything in the store so they can give advice and suggestions when required • Deliver purchased plants and related products to customers, ensuring safe handling, transportation, and timely delivery • Visit client sites such as corporate offices, retirement villages, and commercial premises to carry out regular plant maintenance, including watering, pruning, cleaning, and replacing plants as required • Maintain service records for off-site visits and report any plant health or supply issues to the store manager

Days of work
Rostered Shifts: 7 Days - 9am to 6pm and late nights on Thu-Fri till 9pm. (30 hours per week)
