Logistics Coordinator
About this job
We’re looking for a Logistics Coordinator to keep materials moving efficiently across our major infrastructure project in Lower Hutt. You’ll work closely with plant department, site teams and suppliers to ensure deliveries run smoothly and traffic flows safely. This role is hands-on, fast-paced, and central to keeping construction on track.
What you will be doing: • Coordinate daily deliveries and removals of bulk materials • Liaise with suppliers and cartage contractors to meet project timelines • Monitor and manage traffic movements at site access points • Allocate gate staff and support traffic management planning • Identify opportunities to improve material handling and site efficiency
Someone with construction knowledge/background would be ideal for this role.
Job Requirements
You’ll be organised, proactive, and confident working with multiple stakeholders in a dynamic environment.
• Experience in logistics, ideally in large-scale or complex projects • Strong organisational and time management skills • Excellent communication and relationship-building ability • Analytical thinking and attention to detail • Ability to work under pressure and solve problems quickly • Competence with computer systems and reporting tools • Must have WTR and F endorsements • Must pass MOJ and drug check
