Mobility Taxi Driver

Employer seeking motivated applicants with New Zealand Passenger Endorsement (P Endorsement) to work as a mobility van driver to work over the shore.

This is a unique opportunity where you will be able to enrich the lives of the elderly.

Apart from taking clients to doctor, dentist, and medical visits you will also take clients out on excursions and other such visits. Full training will be provided. Key Responsibilities - Safely and efficiently transport individuals with mobility challenges to and from their desired destinations. - Provide assistance and support to passengers, ensuring their comfort and safety throughout the journey. - Follow established routes and schedules, while also accommodating any necessary detours or changes to ensure timely transportation. - Maintain a clean and well-organized vehicle, conducting routine inspections and reporting any maintenance or safety concerns. - Communicate effectively with passengers, ensuring their needs are met and addressing any inquiries or concerns. - Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations, including vehicle operation and parking guidelines. - Maintain accurate records of trips, mileage, and passenger information as required.

Requirements: - Valid Class 1 full driver's license held for more than 2 years with a clean driving record. - Excellent driving skills and knowledge of local traffic laws and regulations. - Empathy, patience, and strong interpersonal skills to interact with passengers who may have special needs. - Physical stamina and the ability to assist passengers with boarding and disembarking from the vehicle. - Flexibility in working hours to accommodate various shifts, including weekends and holidays. - Ability to work independently and make sound decisions while prioritizing passenger safety.

Preferred Qualifications but not mandatory: - Previous experience as a driver in the transportation industry. - First Aid and CPR certification. - Knowledge of accessible equipment and techniques for assisting passengers with mobility devices.
