Traffic Control Staff – TTM / TMO / STMS

Local recruitement agency in New Plymouth are seeking casual qualified Traffic Control staff to join our civil and roading teams. Positions are available for TTM Workers, TMOs, and STMS levels.

You’ll be responsible for the safe and efficient setup, maintenance, and removal of traffic management sites, ensuring compliance with NZTA’s Code of Practice for Temporary Traffic Management (CoPTTM). These roles suit reliable, safety-focused individuals who enjoy working outdoors and being part of a dynamic civil team.

In this role you will: • Direct and manage traffic to ensure safety for road users and work crews. • Operate and maintain traffic control equipment and signage. • Communicate effectively with crew members and the public. • Complete site documentation and hazard identification. • Uphold all health, safety, and compliance standards.

To apply you must have: • Current TTM Worker, TMO, or STMS (any level) qualification (essential). • Full Class 1 NZ Driver Licence, Class 2 or above advantageous • Proven experience in traffic management or civil works. • Strong focus on safety and teamwork. • Physically fit and reliable with a positive attitude. • Able to pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol test.
