Front of House /Kitchen Assistant - Sushi business
About this job
The role mainly involves front-of-house work and assisting with daily shop operations. Duties include making rice balls very quickly and accurately, providing fast and efficient customer service, handling EFTPOS payments, cleaning (including dishes and restrooms), and maintaining overall shop hygiene. The person will also help change oil in the deep fryer, support other light kitchen tasks, and occasionally do some heavy lifting. The job requires speed, accuracy, and the ability to stay focused during busy hours. Employment type: permanent part-time. Working hours will depend on the skills of the worker and coordination with other staff. Staff are expected to work independently and take full responsibility for their own station, as most shifts are one-person roles. Knowledge of Japanese food and menu is an advantage.
