Hairdresser Apprenticeship

A local premier luxury Salon based in Tauranga is seeking a full time Hairdresser 2nd year apprentice. Must be willing to engage in a training pathway to gain and complete a trade qualification. As a High-End Hairdresser Apprentice, you will embark on a comprehensive training program designed to develop your skills in advanced hair cutting, colouring, styling, and client service. Under the guidance of experienced stylists, you will learn the art and science of high-end hairdressing, gaining hands-on experience in a luxury environment. Key Responsibilities: • Assist senior stylists with client consultations, washes, and treatments • Learn and perform advanced haircutting and styling techniques • Develop skills in premium colouring, highlighting, and hair treatments • Provide exceptional customer service, ensuring a luxurious client experience • Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitized work environment • Stay updated with industry trends, products, and techniques • Support the team in daily salon operations Qualifications: • Passion for hairdressing and a keen interest in high-end styling • Strong communication and interpersonal skills • Ability to work in a fast-paced, detail-oriented environment • Willingness to learn and take constructive feedback • Previous experience or training in hairdressing is ESSENTIAL. Must have own transport, able to commit to rostered shifts/late nights/weekends, Enjoy providing exceptional customer service, great fashion sense and personal presentation, sociable, reliable with a bubbly personality.
