Warehouse & Customer Service Assistant

Full-time: Reporting to the General Manager

We are looking for a motivated and reliable Warehouse & Customer Service Assistant to join our team. In this hands-on role, you’ll play a key part in keeping our warehouse operations running smoothly while also providing support to our customer service team when needed.

About the Role: Your primary focus will be on day-to-day warehouse operations, including stock control, goods handling, and dispatch. You’ll also assist in the shop and over the phone, helping to deliver great service to our customers.

Key Responsibilities: Maintain accurate stock control and inventory records Operate forklift to move stock between trucks and storage areas Check and receive inwards goods into the accounting system Verify supplier costs and ensure pricing accuracy Transfer received goods to designated warehouse locations Pick, pack, check, and dispatch customer orders efficiently File delivery dockets, invoices, and related documentation Monitor and stay up to date with freight costs Liaise with suppliers regarding damaged goods, short deliveries, and credits Ensure regular maintenance of trucks and forklifts Assist with periodic stocktakes Maintain a clean and tidy warehouse, office, and amenities Keep the building and grounds neat, tidy, and weed-free Provide customer service support by answering phones and assisting in the shop when required.

Job Requirements

Proven experience in warehouse operations, with some customer service or sales background Current, clean Class 1 driver’s licence with ability to drive manual truck Holds valid Forklift licence and OSH certificate Physically fit and capable of performing manual handling tasks Comfortable climbing up and down on ladders. Basic computer literacy and familiarity with inventory or accounting systems Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in paperwork and record keeping Strong communication and teamwork skills Positive, can-do attitude with strong customer service focus Honest, reliable, punctual, and able to work independently Proactive team player who’s happy to assist where needed Able to pass Police, MOJ, and drug tests Non-smoker and non-vaper – due to working in a highly flammable environment

Days of work
Mon-Fri 8am-5pm and one Saturday morning a month (46.5 hours per week)
