Truck Driver

Drive and operate trucks, Loading and Unloading, Hand unloading when required, Transporting and delivering goods in a safe, timely manner, Ensuring goods are strapped down correctly and removed safely, Confirm that the contents of each load match the manifest document, Plan routes and ensure timely transport and delivery, Communicate with dispatch as needed, Comply with truck driving rules and regulations (size, weight, route designations, parking and break periods), Notify of any major maintenance or delivery issues encountered, Inspecting goods for damage and complete incident reports for the manager, Log Books to be completed accurately in full & submitted timely, Pre-checks of vehicle before each trip – including oil, water, fuel, air pressure levels are in line with road safety and vehicle safety standards, Ensure truck is kept clean and tidy and carry out minor maintenance, Follow correct safety procedures, Comply with all traffic laws at all times.

Clean & Current Class 5 NZ Driver Licence, At least one year of Class 5 Truck Driving Experience, Pass the drug and alcohol tests, No criminal records, Physically fit and reliable, Good knowledge of load restraint and weight distribution, Clean driving record and commitment to safety, Availability of work required: Monday to Saturday, Early morning start required (from 3.00 AM), Weekend availability and you may be required to work during public holidays, Must have reversing skills as well as complete understanding of road ranger gearbox, Have a working knowledge and understanding of Health & Safety & Logbook requirements, Willingness to follow standard operating procedures, Work in conditions that may be stressful, including poor weather and Heavy Traffic, Mechanically minded would be an advantage, Have a positive, enthusiastic attitude with a strong results-focused work ethic, Time management skills and ability to work unsupervised
