Checkout Supervisor/Operator

We are looking for outstanding individuals to join our diverse and energetic Checkout department. As a Checkout Supervisor, you’ll play a key part in ensuring our customers enjoy a smooth, friendly, and efficient shopping experience. You’ll support and lead the checkout team, helping them deliver excellent service every time. What We’re Looking For The ideal candidate will be: • An experienced checkout or retail supervisor with at least 12 months of experience • Motivated and supportive, helping team members exceed their potential • Experienced in managing the sale of alcohol, ideally holding a current Manager’s Certificate • Committed to high personal presentation standards for yourself and your team • A genuine people person focused on providing a superior customer experience • A confident communicator who remains calm and professional under pressure Key Responsibilities: • Support checkout operations to maintain high levels of customer service • Assist with customer enquiries and provide guidance to front-line checkout staff • Foster a friendly, positive environment for both customers and team members • Ensure all sales—especially liquor, tobacco, and other age-restricted items—comply with legal and company requirements • Promote and uphold Health & Safety and Food Safety standards across the department
