Kaimahi (Support Worker)

We are looking for dedicated and compassionate Kaimahi (Support Worker) to join our team supporting Tangata Whaiora (Clients) with high and complex mental health and addiction needs. Our organisation operates five residential homes, where we provide 24 hour care and holistic support to help clients live with dignity, stability and purpose.
As a Kaimahi, you will play an essential role in creating a safe, respectful and nurturing environment. This is hands on mahi that involves personal care, daily living support and therapeutic engagement, helping each client archive the best quality of life possible.
NZ certificate in Mental Health and Wellbeing Level 4 required.
Job Requirements
Key Responsibilities: • Provide day-to-day care and supervision for residents across the organization’s five homes • Assist with personal care tasks such as dressing, hygiene, and feeding • Prepare and serve meals, including breakfast, lunch, and dinner • Administer prescribed medication in line with policy and supervision requirements • Maintain a clean, tidy, and safe living environment — including laundry and housework duties • Support residents to participate in planned daily activities and community outings • Build trusting relationships through positive engagement and empathy • Accurately record and report client progress, incidents, and medication administration • Uphold the organization’s values, confidentiality, and cultural safety principles • NZ Certificate in Mental Health and Wellbeing (Level 4) • Must be able to pass MOJ • Must be able to pass Drug test

- Rostered shifts – 6am – 2pm, 2pm – 10pm and 10pm – 6am. (40 hours per week)
