Extraction Operator / QC

We are seeking a technically-minded Extraction operator to join our dynamic production team. This is a pivotal role where you will be responsible for the core process of transforming fruit and vegetables into our juice and puree ingredients. It’s a hands-on technical position perfect for someone who enjoys problem-solving and has a passion for food science and machinery.

Operation & Monitoring: Set up, operate, and continuously monitor extraction, pressing, and separation equipment (e.g., decanters, presses, ultrafiltration units, refiners, heat exchangers).

Quality Control (QC): Conduct in-process QC checks including Brix, acidity, pH, and sensory evaluation to ensure product meets customer product specifications.

Process Optimisation: Adjust machine parameters (pressure, temperature, feed rate) in real-time to maximise yield and quality while minimising waste.

Troubleshooting: Identify and perform first-line troubleshooting on equipment issues, coordinating with the maintenance team for complex repairs.

Data & Documentation: Meticulously complete production and quality records, ensuring full traceability and adherence to our SQF HACCP-based Food Safety Plan.

Maintain segregation of products to comply with Organic, Halal and Kosher standards.

Conduct CIP (Clean in place) and COP (Clean out of place) daily.

Hygiene & Safety: Lead by example in following all GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) and health & safety procedures.

Report to the production manager.
