Full Time Cleaner - Te Awamutu We are looking for reliable, hardworking cleaners who take pride in keeping spaces clean, safe, and welcoming for the community. Based in Te Awamutu, this is a great opportunity to join a supportive team helping to maintain the Waipa District’s public facilities to a high standard.
What you will be doing: • Cleaning and maintaining council buildings, amenities, and community spaces. • Ensuring all areas are tidy, hygienic, and ready for public use. • Using cleaning equipment and materials safely and efficiently. • Working independently and as part of a friendly, reliable team.
You will collect a manual company vehicle each day from the Te Awamutu premises before heading to your assigned sites. The business operates seven days a week, and you will work five rostered days, which may include weekends. Shifts can start from 5:30 AM and run up to 10 hours per day, with 40 to 50 hours per week available. No experience? No problem! Full training is provided. We are looking for people who are motivated, dependable, and genuinely care about keeping community spaces clean and safe. If you already have cleaning experience, even better!
Job Requirements
• Strong work ethic and attention to detail. • Ability to pass a Ministry of Justice and drug test. • Reliable and able to work early starts and rostered weekends. • Restricted or Full NZ driver’s licence (must be able to drive a manual vehicle). • Good communication and teamwork skills. • Previous cleaning experience is an advantage but not essential. • Must be based in or able to travel to Te Awamutu.
