An Upper Hutt Organisation is looking for a Biomedical Engineering Intern to join their team.
This internship offers hands-on experience supporting our biomedical engineering team in maintaining and testing medical equipment across hospitals and clinics.
It’s ideal for students or recent graduates with an interest in electronics, electrical systems, or engineering who are keen to learn practical skills in a real healthcare environment.
Key Tasks • Assist engineers with preventative maintenance and basic repairs on medical devices • Help with asset tagging, data entry, and documentation • Learn to use basic test equipment and follow safety procedures • Support day-to-day workshop and field service activities • Work alongside different engineers across multiple hospital and clinic sites — no two days are the same
Additional Details • Locations: Mainly based in Wellington, with possible placements in other region depending on operational needs • Duration: 3–6 months • Provided: Mobile phone, laptop, and basic tools

Job Requirements
We’re looking for someone with:
• A genuine interest in engineering, problem-solving, and learning from the ground up • Reliability, punctuality, and a tidy personal presentation • A willingness to take direction, work safely, and contribute to the team • A positive attitude and readiness to take on hands-on work • Must have at least a restricted driver’s licence. • Must be able to pass a pre-employment MOJ check and Drug test.
