An employer in Kaitaia is looking for a reliable and skilled Car Mechanic to join their busy workshop.
Key Responsibilities • Performance tunes on vehicles Servicing Installing 4x4 accessories Communicating with customers and hands-on experience within the automotive industry. • Diagnose Issues: Use diagnostic equipment and visual inspections to identify mechanical and electronic problems in vehicles. • Perform Repairs: Repair or replace faulty parts and systems, including engines, transmissions, brakes, and electrical systems. • Routine Maintenance: Conduct regular maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire rotations, and brake services to ensure vehicle longevity and performance. • Customer Interaction: Communicate with customers about repair options, costs, and maintenance procedures, providing clear explanations and recommendations. • Record Keeping: Maintain details records of repairs, including diagnostic tests, parts used, and services performed.

Job Requirements
Minor convictions considered on a case by case basis Must be able to pass drug test Must be Reliable Trade Qualifications and experience is a must Must have 4 years plus experience with good knowledge of Automotive
