Road Safety Hardware Installer

South Auckland based employer is seeking for experienced Road Safety Hardware Installers to join their busy team. The job is primarily based in the Auckland region, with periodic overnight travel required to Gisborne (accommodation and allowances provided).
Key responsibilities:
• Install, maintain, and remove roadside safety hardware systems, including: Wire rope barriers, Steel W-section guardrails, Terminal ends, Concrete barriers and other proprietary NZTA-approved systems as required. • Read and interpret plans, specifications, and manufacturer documentation relevant to each installation. • Complete all installation tasks in accordance with: Manufacturer installation manuals, NZTA and CoPTTM codes of practice and ASHTAS installer-level training.
Ideal candidate must have a can-do positive attitude, have the ability to follow technical instructions precisely, must be safety conscious, have high attention to detail and workmanship quality and must be consistent, dependable and punctual.
Job Requirements
Must hold a full Class NZ 1 drivers’ licence (Class 2 or W,T,R endorsements advantageous) and own transport Minimum 2 years’ relevant civil or barrier installation experience with a reputable barrier system installer company Familiarity with NZTA-approved road safety barrier systems Competence in the use of installation tools, post vibrations drivers, and torque-limited equipment Must pass competency training for working around plant, within a confined workspace environment Must pass a Ministry of Justice check Must pass a drug and alcohol test
