We are a family-owned horticultural business growing avocados in Tapora and mandarins in Matakana. We are seeking two Supervisors to join our team in Matakana for mandarin thinning.

Responsibilities: Communicating with the Citrus Leading Hand on a daily basis to plan the day’s work and discuss any issues that may have arisen. Ensuring that the orchard is kept clean, tidy and is a safe working environment. Promoting health and safety in all aspects of the job.

Duties/tasks: Supervision of seasonal staff during mandarin thinning. This includes: ● Ensuring that quality parameters and rates of productivity are met. ● Reporting any related issues to the Citrus Leading Hand and working together to resolve these.

We are a small but growing team and offer opportunities to people who show initiative and a positive outlook.

Job Requirements

Key attributes: Experienced in staff supervision. Reliability - this is a must. Physically fit - able to be on your feet all day and cope with the summer heat. Clean drivers licence.

Personal attributes: Team player but capable of working independently. Excellent problem-solving skills. Attention to detail. Good communicator. Practical, reliable and efficient. Able to pass drug/alcohol test.
