About this job

• Climb trees using ropes, harnesses, and safety gear to access work areas for pruning or removal. • Fell trees and cut logs into specified lengths using chainsaws and other hand tools. • Remove branches and debris from felled or trimmed trees. • Assess trees for potential hazards and determine appropriate cutting or removal methods. • Operate and maintain chainsaws, chippers, and related equipment safely and efficiently. • Load, secure, and transport logs, branches, and equipment to and from job sites using company vehicles as required. • Communicate effectively with ground crew to coordinate safe and accurate cutting operations. • Follow all workplace health and safety standards, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE). • Conduct routine checks and maintenance of climbing and cutting equipment. • Perform other related duties as required to support daily operations.

Job Requirements

• Physically fit for the role. • Strong attention to detail and safety. • A valid truck driver’s licence (minimum Class 2) is required • Drug testing is required. • Hardworking, reliable, and passionate. • Flexible and adaptable to work conditions. • The candidate will be required to travel within the region and the cost of travel and fuel will be borne by the employer.

Days of work
Monday - Friday, 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM (30 hours per week)

$25 to $30 dependant on experience
