About the Role We’re looking for a motivated and reliable Junior / On-Site Junior to join our busy transport and logistics team. This is a great opportunity for someone keen to build a career in the transport industry and learn a wide range of practical skills across workshop operations, fleet maintenance, and transport logistics. You’ll work alongside experienced drivers, mechanics, and operations staff while learning how the business runs day-to-day. No two days are the same – one day you might be helping in the workshop, and the next you could be assisting with loading, vehicle checks, or supporting the team.

The company offers on-the-job training, opportunities to gain additional truck licences and certifications, and the chance to move into roles such as Driver, Logistics Assistant, or Workshop Technician.
Key Responsibilities • Assist with daily workshop duties including cleaning, sweeping, organising tools and equipment. • Help the mechanic and drivers with basic maintenance tasks such as checking oil, tyres, lights, and fluids. • Collect and deliver parts and supplies as needed. • Support with fleet administration including fuel and fleet cards, maintenance logs, and safety checklists. • Learn and assist with sandblasting, painting, and basic panel preparation. • Learn how to operate diggers, and small plant equipment under supervision. • Shadow experienced truck drivers to gain understanding of safe driving practices and transport routes. • Maintain a tidy and safe work environment in accordance with company health and safety procedures. • Carry out other general duties to support the day-to-day running of the transport yard.
Job Requirements
Skills and Attributes • A positive, can-do attitude with a willingness to learn. • Reliable, punctual, and physically fit for manual work. • Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety. • Good communication and teamwork skills. • Must hold a full driver’s licence (Class 1 minimum); opportunity to progress to Class 2 and beyond. • Basic mechanical interest or aptitude is an advantage.
