Seasonal Cherry Pickers and Packers

CENTRAL OTAGO: Our employer in Clyde is looking for Seasonal Cherry Pickers and Packers to join their wonderful team for the 2025/2026 season. We have a variety of positions available: Packer’s/Graders/Stacker’s/Box makers/Pickers/Bin sitters and Tractor Drivers:

Duties include but are not limited to: Main tasks and duties would be working in our state-of-the-art Packhouse with the team: • Packing and grading cherries for both export and local market sales or picking cherries on our 27 Hecate orchard.

You must have the below prerequisites to be considered for this role: • Previous picking experience is preferable if applying for a picking role. • Attention to detail. • Ability to work well in a team environment. • Reliability. • Excellent time management skills. • Health and safety awareness. • Ability to learn on the job. • Good communication skills • Physically fit. • Self-motivated with strong drive to achieve results. • Hold NZ citizenship, NZ Permanent Residency, or a Valid NZ Work Permit.

Hours and days are:

Hours: • Weekly Average 40 hours plus per week. (Weather and fruit dependent)

Days: • Monday to Sunday Packhouse hours 8am-5pm picking hours 6am-2pm (weather and fruit dependent) Wage: Pay rate $24.00 per, depending on experience + 8%- Holiday pay.
