FOH/Waitressing

Seeking a Front of House/Waiter/Waitress for a Bar and Kitchen Restaurant. Duties will include: • Welcoming and seating guests in polite and cheerful manner. • Taking food and beverage orders and delivering these orders to guests. • Passionate about delivering a high standard of service to different types of clienteles • Ensure there is always an adequate supply of clean glassware, cutlery and other essential items for service as directed by manager on duty. • Clean tables and collect used glasses and crockery from the tables and placing them in dedicated washing areas. • Ensure the whole venue, including toilets are tidy at all times and are displayed in accordance with the establishment standards. • Learn and understand all food and drinks menus to ensure you are able to inform and upsell. • Ensure compliance with the liquor licensing laws as directed by Duty Manager. • Ensure you are present and ready to serve customers at all times while on shift. • Report any problems with either customer or equipment to Duty Manager. • Helping in kitchen as and when required. • Follow instructions from Duty Manager/Management. • Ensure the safety of the business’s property and cash at all times by following the venue specific cash handling procedures. • Any other duties the employer may reasonably require.

The role will commence in a casual position and potential to move to permanent full time for the right candidate who proves themself over a few months.

NZ Right to work in NZ. Able to pass pre-employment checks (medical if required), drug test and MOJ check. Own transport or reliable transport to get to work. At least 1 year experience of having work in a restaurant. Exceptional customer service experience. An understanding of how a busy restaurant operates. Taking initiative and not waiting to be asked to perform tasks.
