Placement Broker
About this job
A Lower Hutt Organisation is looking for an experienced Placement Broker to support our programme participants to transition successfully into employment or training opportunities.
The Placement Broker is responsible for:
Participant Placement • Match participants to appropriate employment or training opportunities. • Support participants in finding, preparing for, and transitioning into placements.
Employer and Partner Engagement • Engage with local employers, providers, and partners to source and secure placement opportunities. • Maintain up-to-date records in the employer database.
Contractual Compliance • Ensure all required placement documentation is completed and filed accurately. • Provide data and reports to support organisational claims and impact reporting.
Post-Placement Support • Follow up with participants and employer’s post-placement to ensure a smooth transition. • Document participant impact stories and feedback for reporting.
Starting mid-January 2026, the role is 24 hours per week and is office-based in central Lower Hutt.

Job Requirements
• Be respectful, reliable, and positive. • Keep boundaries with participants professional. • Maintain a safe, inclusive, and gossip-free work environment. • Represent the kaupapa of the organisation in your actions and words. • Maintain a tidy, well-groomed appearance aligned with workplace expectations • Must have at least a restricted licence. • Must be able to pass a pre-employment MOJ check and drug test.
