We’re seeking an experienced and motivated Chef's to join our busy cafe kitchen team in Whangarei City. You’ll be responsible for preparing quality meals, maintaining high kitchen standards, and contributing to a positive, team-oriented environment. These are full time roles with minimum 30 hours per week.
Key Responsibilities: Prepare and cook short-order meals for breakfast and lunch service. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe kitchen environment at all times. Follow all food safety and workplace hygiene standards. Manage stock ordering, rotation, and minimal wastage. Work efficiently under pressure, especially during busy service hours. Demonstrate strong communication skills and teamwork. Uphold a positive attitude and show initiative to grow with the business.
Job Requirements
Minimum 12 months’ experience in a cafe kitchen / similar environment (more experience is an advantage) OR a Cookery qualification at Certificate Level 4. Excellent time management and multitasking abilities. Must be punctual, reliable, and able to work independently. Available on weekends. Strong work ethic and passion for providing exceptional service. No Pre Employment Drug Test required, however, you may be asked to conduct random testing within the first 12 months of Employment.
