Class 5 Truck Driver
About this job
• Full time work starts 6am 6 days a week • Min 1 years of experience • Perform & observe safety when loading & unloading, manoeuvring vehicles using lifting & tipping device • Plan routes & meet delivery schedules • Making regular quality checks of vehicles to ensure they can be driven safely • Estimating weights to comply with load limitations & ensuring safe distribution of weight • Ensuring goods are stowed & secured to prevent loss & damage • Verifying loading documents, check goods condition & obtain delivery document • Inspect vehicles for mechanical issues, safety issues & perform preventative maintenance • Document and log work/rest periods and kms spent during driving & retain fuel/till receipts • Comply with truck driving rules & regulation (size, weight, route, parking, break) also with company policies & procedures • Report accident or violation during delivery or to the company vehicle, provide detail accident/maintenance log
Job Requirements
Criminal Conviction check Driver Fit Certificate Drug Test Forklift License DG License Must have 1 year's experience truck and trailer for metro runs and linehaul work.
