Truck Driver

We have a vacancy for Class 5 Truck Drivers to work throughout New Zealand with floating conditions, start and finish of work will be Auckland.

• Drive vehicle combinations to destinations in accordance with regulations and company procedures • Load and unload truck and trailer either individually or with assistance, with or without mechanical freight handling equipment • Perform frequent lifting, pulling, pushing and carrying of freight • Inspect truck for defects and safe operating condition before, during and after trips • Submit pre-trip Inspections and if required Vehicle Defect reports on truck and trailing equipment before commencing shift • Ensure that all load documentation required to move with freight is available for inspection and that appropriate paperwork accompanies freight when delivered • Maintain logbook as per NZ rules and regulations. • Ability to operate company vehicles in a safe and responsible manner. • Driving within speed limit of 90km/h and wear seat belt while driving. • Plan routes and meet delivery schedules.
