An Otorohanga piggery is looking for a stock person with farming experience, who is able to be trained into a 2IC role.
A calm manner is essential and stockman ship skills are beneficial. You need to be keen, reliable with your own reliable transport to get to work.
Duties include feeding and checking stock, following routines and procedures, training to look after the stock and learning about breeding.
- The employer is ideally looking for someone who can be trained into a second in charge position so you will ideally need to be motivated to work with a large team and guide the team. - You will need to have some leadership experience not necessarily in a pig farm but with good transferable skills, which include having initiative to find extra work when no one is there to tell you what to do. - You will need to be able to work independently and be trustworthy enough to leave to work alone.

Job Requirements
Apllicants who are calm, have at least a restricted driver licence, your own reliable transport and the ability to pass a drug test should apply. An up to date CV with relevant references required. Criminal convictions to be disclosed and may be considered on a case by case basis.
