Crane Operator

A New Plymouth-based construction and manufacturing company, operating across commercial, residential, and rural sectors, is seeking a motivated experienced Crane Operator to join their workforce. The ideal candidate will have experience in concrete work and/or a knowledge of carpentry.

The primary responsibility will be operating static and mobile cranes, including loading and unloading products weighing up to 20 tonnes. Due to safety and legislative requirements, strong skills, careful execution, and safety awareness are essential. While pre-training is preferred, time-served experience will also be considered.

This is a full-time role; however, not all hours will involve crane operation. When not operating the crane, the successful candidate will assist with various tasks across industries such as concreting, building, labouring, installation of manufactured products, and other general construction duties.

Working hours are 44 hours per week: Monday to Thursday, 7:30 am to 5:00 pm, and Friday, 7:30 am to 4:00 pm. Applicants must be physically fit and genuinely motivated to work in these industries. Additional training will be provided as required. Experience or licenses to operate other heavy machinery will be highly regarded. Candidates must be drug-free and able to commute to the Waiwhakaiho area. Any convictions will be considered on an individual basis.
