Team Leader - Cleaning Service

A Whangamata cleaning company are looking for a motivated and proactive Team Leader to join our cleaning team. This is a hands-on role for someone with strong leadership skills, a positive attitude, and the ability to think outside the box. You’ll be responsible for guiding the team day-to-day, ensuring quality standards are met, and supporting the business in delivering exceptional service to our clients.
Job Requirements
• Minimum 1 year of professional cleaning experience • Full driver’s licence (manual or automatic) • Physically fit – the role involves walking, lifting, and moving throughout the day • Available to work a minimum of 30 hours/week, with flexibility to work up to 45 hours/week during peak season (Dec–Mar) • Ability to work independently and as part of a team • Strong communication and time management skills • Positive, solutions-focused attitude Key Responsibilities: • Lead and motivate a small team of cleaners on-site • Organise and manage daily rosters and schedules • Perform quality checks to ensure work meets company standards • Communicate with clients to ensure satisfaction and address any issues • Identify and approach potential clients or prospects • Work collaboratively with the team to achieve daily goals • Step in and assist with cleaning tasks as needed • Report any issues, feedback, or improvement ideas to management
