Carpenter

The Employee shall provide building, carpentry and general labour services as required and directed by the Employer. Duties include handling carpentry materials, using carpentry tools and equipment, carrying out general demolition of minor building structures and performing setting out and levelling operations. The Employee will be responsible for planning and organising work, conducting workplace communication, performing measurements and calculations, and reading and interpreting plans and specifications. Additional tasks include excavation, use of explosive power tools, erecting and dismantling restricted-height scaffolding, and carrying out concreting to simple forms. The Employee must apply occupational health and safety (OHS) requirements, policies, and procedures, including working safely at heights. Other key duties include constructing and installing flooring systems, wall frames, trusses, pitched and flat roofs, eaves, gutters, parapets, and similar structures; installing and replacing windows and doors; installing linings, panelling, and mouldings; erecting and dismantling formwork for suspended slabs, columns, beams, walls, and roofs; and assembling partitions. The Employee must have at least two years of relevant experience and demonstrate the ability to work effectively, safely, and efficiently in a construction environment.

Minimum of 2 years of experience in building and carpentry work. Full drivers licence and own transport to get to work Must be able to pass drug and police check Proven ability to interpret plans and carry out construction tasks independently. knowledge of construction safety standards and OHS practices. Physically fit and capable of performing manual labour tasks. Reliable, punctual, and able to work effectively in a team environment.
