Are you organised, practical, and confident leading a busy team? A mid-sized post-harvest facility specialising in packing and cool-storing kiwifruit for export and distribution by Zespri International Ltd. We’re looking for reliable and motivated Floor Supervisors to join our packhouse team - across both day and night shifts. You’ll work closely with the Production Supervisor to keep operations running smoothly, ensuring staff, machinery, and packaging flow efficiently through the packhouse. This role is key to maintaining performance, quality, and safety on the floor while allowing the Production Supervisor to focus on efficient, in-grade packing. About the Role As a Floor Supervisor, you’ll coordinate and support packers, stackers, tray prep staff, and label operations, ensuring the production floor runs safely and efficiently. You’ll also assist with training new staff, maintaining quality and food safety standards, and monitoring daily operational performance. Key Responsibilities Packhouse Operations

Supervise daily workflow across packing lines and tray prep areas Assist with staff training and onboarding Monitor packer and stacker performance and reassign as needed Ensure correct pack types, Plix sizes, and tidy, consistent packing Oversee EAN and fruit labelling; replace label rolls when required Support grower and packaging changes with accurate labelling and setup Maintain traceability records and ensure shift paperwork is complete Assist QCs with counts, extra graders, and issue resolution Ensure end-of-shift clean-ups and safe shutdown procedures Health, Safety & Food Safety Enforce APAC’s Health & Safety and Food Safety standards Ensure safe equipment and PPE use across all staff Monitor staff conduct and apply low-level corrective actions where necessary General Duties Support general site maintenance, cleanliness, and water/gas monitoring Liaise with EDI, QC, and tray prep teams to maintain production flow Provide support to repack operations when required Communicate any operational changes to floor staff promptly

Job Requirements

What We’re Looking For Experience in a supervisory or team leadership role (manufacturing, horticulture, or logistics preferred) Excellent communication and organisational skills Mechanically minded and proactive problem solver Strong focus on safety, quality, and efficiency Able to lead a diverse team and maintain a positive floor culture Computer skills (Microsoft Office, FreshPack/FreshCool experience a bonus) Reliable, self-motivated, and willing to work flexible hours (day or night)
