Handyperson/Builder

Seeking Handypersons/Builders for a local Employer. Key responsibilities will be:

● Perform general building, repair, and maintenance work on residential and commercial properties. ● Door repairs and installations, property maintenance and general repairs ● Carry out carpentry, GIB fixing, plastering, painting, tiling, minor electrical, plumbing, shower installations and other small trade tasks. ● Assist in kitchen, bathroom, and laundry renovations, including fixture installations. ● Tiny home building or any other items in our outside the workshop. ● Read and interpret job scopes, drawings, and work instructions. ● Ensure all work is completed to a high standard, within budget, and on time. ● Follow company safety policies and ensure sites are kept clean and safe. ● Communicate clearly with clients and supervisors regarding progress or issues. ● Coordinate with other trades (plumbers, electricians, painters, etc.) when required. ● Accurately record hours worked, materials used, and site details for each job.

Right to Work in New Zealand. Able to pass pre-employment checks (medical if required, drug test and a MOJ check). However for a MOJ check a case by case basis will be considered. Full NZ Class 1 Driver Licence with own vehicle or reliable transport. Experience as a Handyperson and/or Builder/General Maintenance and repair work across multiple trades. Able to work independently and with a team - get along with others. Able to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays if required. Good presentation with excellent customer service when dealing with customers. Reliable and punctual to work.
