Quality Controller

We’re looking for motivated Quality Controllers to join our QA team. You’ll work closely with and be reporting to the Quality Manager to ensure kiwifruit packed at APAC meets strict quality, condition, and food-safety standards - from orchard monitoring to the packhouse floor. About the Role You’ll carry out fruit inspections, monitor grading accuracy, record results, and help drive continuous improvement. During the main season, you’ll support both day and night shifts as required. Key Responsibilities Conduct product and pest inspections on site and in orchards Accurately input inspection and condition data Report findings to production, grading, and laboratory teams Monitor corrective actions and follow up on non-conformances Supervise and assist grading and repack team performance and accuracy Assist with orchard monitoring (Kiwigreen & pest programmes) Maintain clear communication across departments

What We’re Looking For: Experience in a Quality Control or QA role (horticulture or manufacturing) Zespri Kiwifruit Quality qualifications preferred (training available) Understanding of quality systems and standards Detail-focused, reliable, and well organised Confident communicator across diverse teams Basic computer skills (required for data entry & reporting) Willingness to work variable hours or shifts during peak season
