Homecare Support Worker - Waipapa

Support people in their homes to maintain independence and wellbeing. Duties include: - Personal care such as showering, dressing, and toileting - Assistance with mobility and transfers (including hoists) - Preparing and serving meals - Home help tasks (vacuuming, cleaning, shopping) - Companionship and promoting independence - Monitoring client wellbeing and reporting any concerns This role suits someone caring and practical who can follow service plans, communicate clearly, and maintain professional standards at all times. Job Requirements
- A full driver’s licence and reliable vehicle - Ability to pass a police vetting check - Good communication and time management skills - Physically able to assist with personal cares and household tasks - Empathetic, respectful, and committed to supporting others’ independence - Flexibility to work rostered shifts including weekends Previous care experience is helpful but not required — full training provided. Applicants must be confident working independently in client homes, following service plans, and adhering to all workplace safety and infection control procedures.
