Courier Driver

A Tauranga based employer is looking for TWO reliable and safety-conscious Courier Driver's to join their delivery team. The successful candidate's will be responsible for transporting goods to clients and businesses in a timely, professional manner while maintaining high standards of customer service and vehicle care.

Key Responsibilities

Safely load, transport, and deliver items to clients or businesses on schedule. Review delivery orders before and after drop-off to ensure accuracy and customer satisfaction. Assist with loading and unloading items, ensuring goods are handled carefully to prevent damage. Provide excellent customer service, including answering questions and resolving complaints. Maintain regular communication with management regarding delivery updates, route changes, or scheduling issues. Report any obstacles or delays that may affect safe and timely deliveries. Follow assigned routes and adhere to delivery timeframes. Comply with all transportation laws and maintain a clean driving record. Prepare and submit delivery reports and related documentation. Keep the company vehicle clean, fueled, and well-maintained. Operate delivery equipment and vehicles, including cars, vans, trucks, or forklifts as required.

Skills & Experience

Full, clean NZ driver’s licence (Class 1 required; Forklift preferred). Previous experience in courier or delivery roles is an advantage. Strong attention to detail and time management. Good physical fitness – able to lift and carry parcels safely. Excellent communication and customer service skills. Ability to work independently and follow instructions.
