We are looking for an enthusiastic and reliable Before and Afterschool Care Activator to join our dynamic OSCAR programme team, you will collect the children from local schools and bring them back to the community centre in New Brighton. This role involves supervising and engaging with up to 50 primary school-aged children, delivering a fun, safe, and stimulating environment through creative and structured play activities.

As a Care Activator, you will play a key role in planning and delivering daily activities that support children’s physical, emotional, and social development — before and after their school day, and full-time during holiday programmes.

Key responsibilities: -Support and lead a variety of fun, age-appropriate activities including arts, crafts, games, and outdoor play -Build positive relationships with children, parents, and school staff -Ensure the health, safety, and wellbeing of all children in your care -Assist with set-up, pack-down, and general programme operations -Encourage teamwork, creativity, and positive behaviour

Job Requirements

-Experience or training in Early Childhood Education (ECE) is an advantage, but not essential -Must be able to pass a Ministry of Justice (MOJ) background check -Must pass pre employment drug testing -Permanent part-time position — availability for both before and after school hours, plus school holidays -Must hold a full, clean driver’s licence for at least two years -A positive attitude with initiative, creativity, and a genuine ability to connect with children -A good sense of humour and a team-focused mindset - able to drive a manual

Monday to Friday. 7.15am to 9.15am 2.30pm to 6.00pm (27.5 hours per week)
