Kiwifruit orchard worker

Kiwifruit orchard workers are required on a fixed term basis in various locations in the Te Puke area to cover both summer work and harvest. Duties include flower thinning, bud thinning, fruit thinning, crush tipping, male pruning and summer pruning leading into picking season. You will be on your feet and working above head and shoulders height for long periods of time. This work is weather dependant with up to 5 to 6 days of work available. Closed footwear must be worn on orchard – gumboots and sneakers are suitable. Tools are provided by the employer. Training is provided. You will be required to have secured accommodation within daily distance to the Te Puke area prior to applying. This could lead into further work during the harvest period through to mid June if suitable.
Job Requirements
Physically fit Minimum restricted car licence and own transport Clean criminal record - minor convictions may be considered. Random drug testing may take place-zero tolerance for drug impairment

- Monday to Sunday - weather dependant. (maximum 6 days per week) 7am - 7pm for summer work. (30 hours per week)
