An Assistant Manager supports daily restaurant operations, ensuring smooth front-of-house service and guest satisfaction.

Key tasks include opening/closing procedures, managing staff schedules and breaks, briefing teams on specials and service standards, and resolving customer issues.

They oversee floor setup, cleanliness, and atmosphere, while liaising with the kitchen to coordinate timing and dietary requests.

Administrative duties include cash handling, sales reporting, and stock monitoring.

They assist in training, motivating, and mentoring staff, ensuring compliance with health, safety, and liquor licensing.

They also monitor feedback, maintain equipment and facilities, and uphold service excellence while supporting the Restaurant Manager in achieving business goals.

Job Requirements

Previous experience in a supervisory role in hospitality is essential. Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to motivate and mentor a team. Proven customer service excellence and confidence in handling guest feedback. Solid understanding of cash handling, daily reconciliations, stock control, and meeting sales targets. Knowledge of opening/closing procedures, health & safety, food safety, and liquor licensing requirements. Ability to problem-solve under pressure and maintain high service standards. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays. Technical competence with POS systems, booking platforms, and reporting tools are essential.

Days of work
Monday-Saturday. Rotating roster of 45 hours on average per week. Between 11am - 2am (45 hours per week)
