We're looking for a compassionate, reliable, and motivated Rehabilitation Assistant to join our care team and support our vulnerable clients on their journey to independence and wellbeing.
About the Role: As a Rehabilitation Assistant, you'll play a key part in enabling the lives of our clients by helping implement personalized rehabilitation and care plans. Your support will bring comfort, progress, and empowerment to individuals and their whanau/families. Casual positions are also available for this role.
Key responsibilities: - Build strong, trusting relationships with clients and their whanau/families. - Provide timely, tailored support in line with personal care and rehabilitation plans. - Support kiritaki/clients with daily living as required, including hygiene, grooming, personal cares, mobility, dressing, and overall presentation. - Work collaboratively with a dedicated team to ensure quality care. - Adapt your communication style to meet individual needs. - Greet visitors warmly and manage calls professionally. - Keep accurate records, chart progress, and assist in planning next steps. - Responsible for contributing to the smooth and effective day to day running of the residential facility.

Job Requirements
- Ideally hold a NZQA qualification, or studying toward a certificate in Health & Wellbeing. - A current First Aid certificate and relevant qualifications are considered an advantage. - Reliable, willing to learn, polite, respectful, and well-mannered individuals who demonstrate a caring and professional attitude. - Background in healthcare, community work, caregiving, support services, or aged care is advantageous. - Must have a Class 1 Full Drivers Licence as you will be working onsite as well as driving clients outdoors to provide support using company vehicle. - Must be able to pass a Ministry of Justice check.
