About the Role

We’re looking for a practical, site-based Flooring Technician to carry out flooring installations, repairs, and finishes across client sites in Auckland. This field-facing role blends hands-on trades work with client interaction.

Full training provided in epoxy flooring systems and polished concrete processes.

Key Responsibilities

Install timber, vinyl/LVT, laminate, carpet, engineered products, epoxy coatings, and polished concrete finishes Prepare and profile substrates (sanding, levelling, priming, moisture testing) Assist with epoxy system mixing/application and concrete polishing while training Cut and finish around fixtures, stairs, and trims to a high standard Safely strip old coverings and handle site clean-up Use and maintain tools correctly and follow all site and safety instructions Complete pre-installation checks, handovers, and simple reporting (photos/job forms) Collaborate with site managers, subcontractors, and other trades Follow all Health & Safety protocols and use PPE correctly

What We’re Looking For

1+ year of flooring, construction, or other trade experience preferred Reliable, professional, and keen to learn Comfortable following instructions and working in small teams Physically fit and capable of manual work Full NZ driver’s licence preferred; reliable transport desirable NZ work rights required

Training & Development

Structured training in epoxy flooring and polished concrete techniques Safety, substrate prep, and tool use included Clear pathways to Senior Technician or Site Lead roles Support toward formal qualifications

Bonus Skills (Nice to Have, Not Required)

Flooring or carpentry apprenticeship/trade background Experience with epoxy systems, polished concrete, or fit-outs Asbestos, heights, or confined space awareness Confidence with grinders, sanders, or power tools Basic digital skills (smartphone use, WhatsApp, photo reporting)
