Cafe Manager

A popular cafe in Plimmerton is looking for an experienced and hands-on Cafe Manager to join our team. About the role: - We’re seeking someone who can confidently oversee daily operations and lead by example, ensuring both our team and our customers enjoy a welcoming, well-run cafe environment. Key responsibilities: - Managing the cafe independently - Hiring, training, and supervising staff - Maintaining consistently high standards of customer service - Overseeing compliance with health, safety, and liquor licensing regulations - Handling bookings, serving food and drinks when required - Preparing quality coffee (barista experience essential) - Ensuring food is prepared and presented to company standards - Managing stock, ordering supplies, and maintaining accurate records - Planning budgets, rosters, and daily operations What we offer: - Competitive hourly rate: $26.00 – $30.00 (depending on experience) - A convenient location, just a few minutes’ walk from Plimmerton train station

- Minimum 2 years’ customer-facing hospitality management experience - Strong barista skills - Proven people management and leadership ability - Business management knowledge, including budgeting, accounting, sales, and marketing - A good understanding of current licensing and employment laws - Knowledge of food and drink preparation and presentation - Familiarity with health, safety, and food hygiene regulations and procedures - A current LCQ (Licence Controller Qualification) is ideal, but not essential - Organised, reliable, and hands-on approach - Must have the ability to pass a MoJ check
